About PSI
Who we are, where we started
Portable Solutions for Industry (PSI) was founded in April 1995. We started life as a hardware trader helping our customers get the mobile data equipment they needed to function efficiently and effectively. It quickly became apparent that there was a need for repairs and maintenance on these mobile data terminals and since then PSI have been specialising in just that!
Moving Away from End Users
Since founding, PSI have decided to move away from dealing with the end users of rugged handheld computers and instead focus on assisting Value Added Resellers and Independant Software Vendors. Since then we have significantly increased our range of products with the likes of the RP1000 and the Samwell Rugged tablets to help our VAR's and ISV's differentiate the solutions that they are able to offer their customers in this very competitive market.
Current Activity
PSI are now trying to make ruggedised hardware more accessible to everyone by introducing the Rugged Rentals scheme.
