Telxon PTC-860IM Truck / Vehicle Mount
Product Description
The Telxon PTC-860IM (Industrial Mount) is a rugged tele-transaction computer used to collect, store, and transmit data. It is designed to be mounted to a warehouse vehicle, such a forklift or tow motor, and to withstand external water exposure plus the shocks and vibrations from normal vehicle operation.
The PTC-860IM can be ordered without a radio (as a batch unit), with a narrow-band radio, or with a spread spectrum radio. Batch operation (via cable) or radio communications allows the PTC to transmit or receive information to/from a host computer. Data can also be entered into the PTC via a large keyboard or an optional bar-code wand or laser scanner.
The PTC-860IM uses the MS-DOS 5.0 ROM or Telxon TCAL operating system. The operating system is loaded into your PTC at the factory
